Giacomo Puccini is one of the most famous classical composers of the last century, and perhaps one of the first artists to be marketed internationally like a present-day celebrity. His music stood at the culmination of the golden age of Italian opera at the beginning of the 20th century. His works celebrated visual expression in musical theater in an exceptional way.
