UFA Film Nights

UFA Film Nights

Silent film classics with live musical accompaniment are the recipe for success behind the UFA Film Nights, to which Bertelsmann and UFA regularly treat audiences in Berlin. The format has since gone on to other metropolises as well, including Brussels, Paris, Madrid and New York.

Impressions from the UFA Film Nights 2024

Around 300 guests attended an exclusive reception on the roof terrace of Bertelsmann Unter den Linden in Berlin to mark the start of the UFA Film Nights 2024. After sunset, everyone went together to nearby Museum Island to enjoy the world premiere of the Carl Lamač's comedy SAXOPHON-SUSI (SUSI SAXOPHONE, 1928), in a version reconstructed and digitally restored by the German Film Institute & Film Museum (DFF). Around a thousand fans of silent film enjoyed the opening movie, which was accompanied by live music performed by the film orchestra The Sprockets, based on a composition by their saxophonist Frido ter Beek.
