RTL CBS Entertainment HD Goes On The Air In Thailand
In mid-August, RTL Group had announced the launch of two special-interest TV channels for Southeast Asia. Singapore-based RTL CBS Asia Entertainment Network, a joint venture between RTL Group and CBS Studios International, would be disseminating the two channels’ programming in English and in local languages in as many as 29 Asian markets. Just a few weeks later, the first of the two channels, RTL CBS Entertainment HD, makes its debut in Malaysia und Thailand.
Since the beginning of the month, RTL CBS Entertainment HD, featuring RTL Group entertainment like “The X Factor,” “America’s Got Talent” and “Celebrity Apprentice” as well as CBS’s “Under the Dome,” the “Late Show with David Letterman” and “Entertainment Tonight,” has been available in Malaysia via Hypptv. A few days ago, it launched in Thailand, thanks to a contract with local pay-TV operator Truevision. Here, Truevisions subscribers will be able to watch RTL CBS Entertainment HD on mobile devices as well.
