New Season Of RTL’s ‘Jungle Show’ Off To A Good Start
The new season of RTL’s “jungle show” got off to a successful start last weekend. On Friday, “Ich bin ein Star – Showdown der Dschungel-Legenden” attracted 21.6 percent of the young 14- to 49-year-old viewer market, making it the evening’s market leader in that demographic.
RTL’s “Jungle Legends” are off to a successful start: The opening episode of the jungle show’s anniversary season, “Ich bin ein Star – Showdown der Dschungel-Legenden,” achieved a market share of 21.6 percent among young viewers aged 14 to 49 on Friday, making it the market leader in this target group. The first new episode of “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!” (“I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here!”) also performed well among 14 to 59-year-olds, with a market share of 21%. (“IBES”) was also successful with a market share of 18.6 percent. An average of 2.21 million viewers aged 3 and over tuned in on Friday at 8:15 p.m., corresponding to a market share of 21.9 percent. “Ich bin ein Star – Die legendäre Stunde danach” (The Legendary Hour After) achieved a market share of 18.6 percent (14 to 59-year-olds) and 18.6 percent (14 to 49-year-olds) from 11.55 p.m. onwards. And that’s not even counting the users of the RTL+ streaming service, who can always watch the latest episode one day in advance. RTL has not yet provided any figures on this.

On Saturday, Day Two of the jungle, “Ich bin ein Star – Showdown der Dschungel-Legenden” was watched by 18.4 percent of the 14- to 49-year-old audience market (0.66 million viewers) and 9.3 percent of total German TV audiences (1.88 million viewers). And on Sunday, the show scored a market share of 18.9 percent among 14- to 49-year-olds (0.91 million viewers) and 10.1 percent of the total audience (2.44 million people).
RTL will air a new episode of the 17-part “IBES” anniversary season every day at 8:15 p.m. through Sunday, September 1. Each episode is always available to stream on RTL+ one day earlier.
