Gruner + Jahr Completes Change of Legal Form to GmbH & Co KG
The Gruner + Jahr publishing company will from now on do business as Gruner + Jahr GmbH & Co KG. The announced change of legal form has been entered in the commercial register and is therefore complete.
The move was taken in close coordination between Bertelsmann and Gruner + Jahr after the international media company had increased its ownership of the publishing house to 100 percent in early November. The change of legal form facilitates decision-making processes and considerably reduces the administrative burden; however it in no way affects the autonomous management of G+J by its leadership, and changes nothing for the company’s employees.
