Bertelsmann Investments Launches New Pharma-Tech Umbrella Company cormeo

Gütersloh, April 03, 2025 – Bertelsmann Investments (BI) has founded the Pharma Tech holding company cormeo. The new holding combines the expertise of Docuvera, EXTEDO and Rote Liste under a shared umbrella. cormeo is part of Bertelsmann Next, the growth unit responsible for driving entrepreneurial development primarily in the growth sectors of Mobile Ad Tech (Applike), HR Tech (Embrace), and Pharma Tech (cormeo).

Carsten Coesfeld, CEO of Bertelsmann Investments, said: “Our Next growth program with its three focuses – Mobile Ad Tech, HR Tech, and Pharma Tech – is already making a relevant contribution to Bertelsmann’s growth through organic and acquisition-driven expansion. That's why we founded cormeo, underlining its high strategic relevance for Bertelsmann.”

Deniz Pielsticker, CFO of Bertelsmann Investments and responsible for the Next unit, added: “In recent years, we strongly advanced the entrepreneurial development and expansion of our Pharma Tech division through the acquisition of Rote Liste and EXTEDO as well as the investment in Docuvera. We will make significant investments in further growth in the coming years.”

The newly founded Pharma Tech holding cormeo aims to provide life sciences companies, health authorities, and healthcare professionals with a holistic approach to managing and sharing regulated information with a view to continuously improving patient health and care. By bringing together industry leaders Docuvera, EXTEDO, and Rote Liste, cormeo will promote synergies between its specialized brands and accelerate the development of groundbreaking, AI-powered solutions that optimize business processes and increase the efficiency of workflows.
