Bertelsmann Content Alliance Launches Health Theme Week
From March 22-28, the Bertelsmann Content Alliance companies in Germany will pool their media power for a theme week focusing on the topic of health. Under the slogan “Packen wir’s an! Gesund leben. Gesund bleiben” (Let’s Do It – Live Healthily. Stay Healthy.) they will provide information about prevention, medical progress and the social importance of the German healthcare system.
The companies that comprise the Bertelsmann Content Alliance reach just about everyone in Germany with their media. They are now pooling this media power once again under the slogan “Packen wir’s an” (Let’s Do It) to encourage people to embrace a sustainable and conscious lifestyle in the future. From March 22-28, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland, RTL Radio Deutschland, Penguin Random House Verlagsgruppe and Gruner + Jahr will spotlight the topic of health. Under the slogan “Packen wir’s an! Gesund leben. Gesund bleiben” (Let’s Do It – Live Healthily. Stay Healthy.) the companies will provide information about prevention, medical progress and the social importance of the German healthcare system.
The G+J brands will extensively report in print and online: “Stern” magazine will have a big health check-up as its cover story on March 25 and will also dedicate its digital offers to the topic of health. The women’s title “Brigitte” will focus on our immune system with a cover story. “P.M. Fragen und Antworten” will provide interesting knowledge about the topic of “What keeps our intestines healthy”, and “Flow” offers advice on how the psyche and gut can be harmonized. The channels and platforms of Mediengruppe RTL will also dedicate special attention to the topic of health: on RTL, viewers will be offered reportages and journals about the healthcare system, prevention, nutritional advice and exercise trends. “Punkt 12” host Katja Burkard and the physician and medical journalist Dr. Christoph Specht will offer testimonials and guidance through the week, meeting with exciting personalities for the news and journal shows. Numerous RTL radio stations will focus on the theme throughout the week, including home office training, healthy foods, and mood enhancers for the soul. Many podcasts in the Audio Now world will also join the health week activities, for example “Dr. Anne Fleck – Gesundheit und Ernährung mit ‘Brigitte Leben’”. The publishers of Penguin Random House Verlagsgruppe will publish numerous (audio) books dealing with the topic in their spring programs: cookbooks, advice books, nonfiction books, and children’s books will comprehensively examine the various dimensions of “health”. Additionally, the publishing group will actively accompany the theme week with a special newsletter and a landing page which bundles the diverse publications dealing with the complexity of themes.
“Packen wir’s an! – Gesund leben. Gesund bleiben.” will be accompanied by a cross-media marketing campaign. In addition to RTL presenter Katja Burkard and Dr. Christoph Specht, the nurse, author and influencer Franziska Böhler a.k.a. “thefabulousfranzi” as well as personal trainer Marcus Kalz are among those offering testimonials. BMG artist Stefanie Heinzmann contributes the campaign song “Colors”.
