Arvato Inaugurates New Site In Turkey

Turkey’s sustained positive economic development has opened up diverse growth opportunities for Arvato there. For instance, the local management has been able to optimize existing contracts with various customers in recent months, and has further developed its sites. Arvato’s companies have become established in Turkey as an outsourcing partner that stands for innovation and partnership. To meet the sustained high demand for skilled services and ensure further growth, a new site has now been opened in Adana in southern Turkey, initially with 200 employees. Last Thursday’s opening ceremony was attended by the Governor of the province of Adana, Hüseyin Avni Cos, as well as business partners of Arvato Turkey and representatives of the local and national press.

According to Managing Director Oktay Erciyaz, in May the company’s two sites in Istanbul and Elazig had 1,400 employees, and another 500 people were employed in Gümushane under a management contract for a national pay-TV provider. This successful approach will be continued with the new site in Adana. “Adana is a city with two million inhabitants and an excellent infrastructure,” said Operations Director Berna Tan, who is very pleased with her new role. “Its young population and the high standard of education also offer a qualified and motivated basis for staff recruitment.” Arvato plans to offer customer care services and back-office functions for international and national clients from the Adana site. About 200 employees have already been recruited for the new location in the past two weeks, and are now actively working on customer orders. The plan is for the site to be operating at 50 percent of its capacity six months from now, and at 100 percent by a year from now – at which point, another 1,000 people will be employed here.

“Due to the continued and sustained pace of growth in Turkey, there is a large backlog in the areas of Customer Care, IT, Loyalty and Supply Chain Management Solutions – all of which are successfully tested solutions that are available from Arvato,” said Erciyaz. “A cooperative approach helps to ensure that our solutions result in successful projects and business approaches. Arvato will continue its success story in Turkey in this spirit of cooperation.”
