An Even Bigger Selection On RTL+
RTL+ is expanding its existing cross-media offering of series, movies, music, and podcasts to include the Deezer catalog of around 90,000 audiobooks and radio plays. From March 1, a new pricing model will also go into effect, including a Family rate.
On its way to becoming a multimedia app, RTL+ continues to grow its selection of both content and rates. From March 1, users of the entertainment service will be able to choose from an even more diverse pricing model. Alongside the existing offers, the “RTL+ Family Package” can then be booked for €18.99 per month. The new rate lets customers access RTL+’s complete cross-media offering, which now also includes Deezer’s complete Audiobooks and radio plays catalog of around 90,000 titles, in addition to video, music, and podcasts – and all of it on up to four screens simultaneously.
‘An unbeatable offer’
As part of the launch of the new model, the Premium rate will be increased from €4.99 to €6.99 per month. Users of this package will have access to the latest highlights including the hit series “Sisi” and the reality format “Prominent getrennt – Die Villa der Verflossenen,” UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League matches, event streams on RTL+, all live TV streams from RTL Deutschland’s linear channels, numerous program highlights such as “Der Bachelor” before it airs on TV, as well as series in their original version, and the download feature.“We are implementing our multimedia app strategy systematically and step by step,” says Henning Nieslony, Chief Streaming Officer RTL Deutschland. “Thanks in part to our very successful collaboration with Deezer, we have since last year offered our users a full range of music streaming services, and are now expanding it to include audiobooks. This step-by-step expansion of RTL+ is also reflected in our new rates model, which we are now completing with the introduction of a Family rate. We are making our customers an unbeatable offer, because we are convinced that variety, simplicity, and price are the decisive factors.”
