Communicating climate-conscious mobility and promoting the use of environmentally friendly alternatives to driving - that was the aim of the recent Mobility Day at the Arvato Campus in Gütersloh, which was jointly organised by Arvato and Arvato Systems.
As part of the day of action, Arvato conducted a survey among commuters to find out how employees get to work. The results should help to develop measures that can promote environmentally friendly mobility on campus.
Test rides with the bike
Information stands and various activities also gave visitors the opportunity to find out about the benefits of environmentally friendly modes of transport. For example, visitors were able to take test rides on bicycles and have their own bicycles checked at the free bicycle check or find out about bicycle leasing and the city of Gütersloh's city cycling programme. In addition, representatives of the city of Gütersloh presented the shuttle taxi service and experts from Bertelsmann BKK presented the services of the company health insurance fund. Colleagues from Bertelsmann Sport und Gesundheit were also represented with an information stand.
The Gütersloh road safety organisation provided insights into the topic of road safety. A special attraction was the simulation goggles, which illustrated what it is like to be tired or drunk on the roads.
