Angelina Mango Nominated As ‘Equal Ambassador’

Singer-songwriter and BMG recording artist Angelina Mango was nominated as “Spotify Italy’s Equal Ambassador” for July. “Equal” is a Global Music Program launched by Spotify in 2021 to promote equality and equity for female artists in the music industry. The program includes a long list of on and off-platform promotional tools, including a grand and exciting billboard in Times Square. Benedetta Verucchi, Senior Manager Streaming, BMG Italy, said: “We are very proud that such a young and talented artist, whose audience is on average teenaged, very committed and inspired by her doing, was selected to give voice to the positive principle’s ‘Equal’ stands for.” Angelina Mango’s latest single “Ci Pensiamo Domani” is Platinum-certified and is one of BMG's top-performing streaming tracks, racking up over 62 million streams to date. Born in Basilicata in 2001, Angelina Mango has been an avid songwriter, performing in clubs with her band since she was a child. In 2016 she moved to Milan, and she released her self-produced first album “Monolocale” in 2020. In January 2022 Angelina released chart-topping singles “Formica”, “Voglia di Vivere”, “Mani vuote” and “We think about it tomorrow”. She is due to participate in a series of summer festivals and TV performances while preparing for her first tour which will kick off in October, and working on new music.
