Bertelsmann Investments (BI), as a global investment platform dedicated to driving best-in-class returns and empowering entrepreneurship worldwide, bundles the venture capital activities of the Bertelsmann Group as well as the growth unit Bertelsmann Next. The venture capital arm comprises the funds Bertelsmann Asia Investments (BAI), Bertelsmann India Investments (BII), Futurepresent, and Bertelsmann Healthcare Investments (BHI), along with selected fund and direct investments, including in Europe, the United States, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Bertelsmann Asia Investments (BAI) is a leading venture capital fund in China, backed by BI and other leading global LPs. Since 2008, the BAI team has invested in more than 200 portfolios, including 18+ IPOs and 40+ unicorns. BAI has two main focuses: China-based global companies and Chinese domestic companies. The fund partners with and empowers outstanding Chinese companies and entrepreneurs in sectors including retail, fintech, entertainment, supply chain, and technology.
